‘Fearless’ artist launches debut album at 74
MUTARE, Zimbabwe (UM News) — Retired from working for decades with children with disabilities and their families, Dorcas Muranda now focuses on sharing her musical gifts. She recently launched her debut gospel album at age 74. Muranda said that although she has faced challenges, God has helped her accept a call to music ministry. Priscilla Muzerengwa has the story.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — When the Rev. Dawrell Rich, pastor at Clair Memorial United Methodist Church, founded Joshua’s House in 2009, the group’s first mission was to provide backpacks to low-income families. From there, it grew into a mentoring program and so much more. Joshua’s House recently became part of A Future With Hope, a nonprofit organization founded by the Greater New Jersey Conference in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy to aid in recovery and to provide solutions, care and hope to the neediest. The retired chaplain of United Methodist-related Emory & Henry College hosts a Motown radio show twice a week on the college station.
