Texas church votes to leave denomination
KATY, Texas (UM News) — The congregation of Grace Fellowship United Methodist Church voted Dec. 15, by a 96% margin, to leave The United Methodist Church. Actual departure could take months. The 2,800-member Houston-area church plans to join the Free Methodist Church denomination. Sam Hodges reports.

Agreement facilitates Spanish editions of books

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry has launched a new partnership to bring Spanish-language editions of its publishing titles to six Latin American countries. The agreement begins with one book and, ideally, will expand over time, the agency announced.
