Prison ministry makes Christmas brighter for inmates

University in Liberia raises $15,000 for relocation
MONROVIA, Liberia — The National Legislature of Liberia donated more than $10,000 U.S. to United Methodist University of Liberia’s #GivingTuesday campaign. The money will go toward moving the campus to 50 acres in Doemah’s Town. The Guarantee Trust Bank in Liberia also donated $5,000 to the program. E Julu Swen has the story.

Church agencies open Manila office
MANILA, Philippines (UMNS) — United Methodist agencies will have an increased presence in the Philippines with the opening of a ministry center in the nation’s capital. Philippines bishops and guests joined staff with the Board of Global Ministries and United Methodist Communications in dedicating the Agency Mission Center on Dec. 18.
