Greenhouses enrich lives at church mission
MACHEKE, Zimbabwe (UM News) — Two “life-transforming” greenhouses at The United Methodist Church’s Hanwa Mission are helping to fight climate change and grow education at the mission’s schools. With financial support from Zimbabwe Volunteers in Mission and the United Methodist Board of Global Ministries’ Yambasu Agriculture Initiative, the Hanwa community constructed two half-acre greenhouses. Bishop Malone shares vision for church
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — East Ohio Conference Bishop Tracy S. Malone, the president of the Council of Bishops, shares her hope and vision as she looks to the future of The United Methodist Church. In a video made during General Conference, Malone quoted Isaiah 43:19. “God is doing a new thing in The United Methodist Church,” she said.

Historic church shines a light of service
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Mother African Zoar United Methodist Church maintains a 230-year legacy of service to its community. Through a mobile outreach ministry, bimonthly food distribution, a Sunday breakfast and other programs, the church continues to serve as a beacon of light in an area where many feel unsafe, underserved and unconnected, says the Rev.
