Among them are Pastor Mary Carmen Padilla, who was recruited to plant Camino de Vida (Way of Life), a church for the Latino community of Fremont, and the Rev. Jessica Cavinee, who followed her call to ministry despite those who told her a woman and mother should be at home rather than in seminary. Amy Graham reports.

Room at the inn for Texas grandpa
DALLAS — Ezell Holley, a 91-year-old member of Hamilton Park United Methodist Church, was among millions who lost power during Texas' prolonged freeze. He stayed with family in a budget motel, which they dubbed the "Waldorf Astoria." After a granddaughter in TV news shared that on social media, a real Waldorf Astoria in Rome, Italy, offered Mr. Holley a round-trip plane ticket and free accommodations. Hannah Sampson reports.

EVANSTON, Ill. — The National Federation of Asian American United Methodists is now officially the New Federation of Asian American United Methodists. The group, which represents the collective mission and ministry of the 12 Asian American United Methodist caucuses, is being "rebirthed during a most turbulent and challenging time," the release said.
