Prayer support for former chief justice
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (UMNS) — Almost 500 people attended a prayer gathering for former Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno, a United Methodist chosen by Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte to lead a committee studying a change to the country’s constitution. Conference celebrates 15-year collaboration
ATLANTA (UMNS) — Practical matters challenging churches today include reaching and keeping young people, responding to “relentless demands,” and providing a vision of congregations as communities of reconciliation, a top executive with the Lilly Endowment said. Plans for leadership development center
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — At its spring 2018 meeting, the board of directors of the United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry unanimously affirmed the agency’s preparation to establish a center for leadership development and spiritual formation. The Rev. Kim Cape, top executive, said the agency is actively identifying the resources and competencies needed in leaders of today and tomorrow.
