Developing story: Lost in Translation

Caught some audio this morning about difficulties experienced during a subcommittee meeting of Faith and Order yesterday. Rev. Vilma Cruz-Bias was monitoring a meeting on the worldwide nature of the church when a delegate who spoke Swahili had to step into a translator role.

We’ll be following up on this story throughout the day. I’m going to try to talk with Don Reasoner, who coordinates translators for General Conference.
