Church aims to register 1,000 voters

Mother African Zoar United Methodist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. William A. Brawner, embarked on a campaign to help people in Philadelphia reclaim their political voice. The goal: Help 1,000 neighbors register and vote in the upcoming election.

Church friendship grows from kidney donation

When Diane Boggess needed a second kidney transplant, her church family at Grove United Methodist Church came to the rescue. After hearing a sermon on sacrificial friendship, church member Susan Parno decided to step up as a donor.

Ida victims not forgotten in Pennsylvania

Hurricane Ida wreaked havoc on Brenda Wyatt’s life in 2021, and she suffered another blow when her husband died a year later. Project Restoration, an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference effort to aid flood survivors, is helping her pick up the pieces.

Enjoying a ‘kindness bubble’ at camp

Adults with developmental disabilities need a vacation like everybody else, so Camp Innabah does it eight weeks a year each summer, providing activities like archery, an obstacle course and swimming.
