It was on a mission trip to Central America that the Rev. John Fanestil felt called to ministry. That call continues today as he serves as a United Methodist border missionary serving those suffering separation at the U.S.-Mexico border. For nearly twenty years, Fanestil has worked to remove the barriers - physical, political and social -- that divide families and loved ones. Says Fanestil, "I do feel the call to witness to the larger truth of God's love and to the larger truth that God doesn't want us to be separated."
