Bishop urges new mindset for way forward
CHICAGO (UMNS) — To find a way forward through its impasse around homosexuality, a bishop said The United Methodist Church will need a new mindset at the 2019 special General Conference. United Methodist picked up in ICE raid
MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — A United Methodist was among 97 employees detained after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid at a meat-packing plant. The man and his family are members at Iglesia Rios de Agua Via, a United Methodist church here. ICE said all those arrested are suspected of being in the country illegally. The family is anxiously awaiting word, Annette Spence reports.

Methodists, Baptists finish dialogue
SALISBURY, England — Representatives of the Baptist World Alliance and the World Methodist Council have completed the last of the rounds of conversations of the international dialogue started in 2014. The final report will be presented in July to the next World Methodist Council meeting and to the executive committee of the Baptist World Alliance.
