Churches help Kentucky miners
HARLAN, Ky.(UM News) — United Methodists in the Kentucky area are helping miners who were abruptly fired when Blackjewel LLC, one of the largest mining companies in the U.S, went into bankruptcy. Miners received no pay for work already done, and their previous paychecks also bounced. Jim Patterson reports.

Ebola spreads to area with strong United Methodist ties
