Church recycling helps families get water
SWANSEA, S.C. — Living Water Project at Calvary United Methodist collects one abundant resource — scrap metal — and trades it for a scarce resource — water. The proceeds from recycling scrap metal from the community go toward providing water to a Navajo Indian reservation in Baca, New Mexico, through an organization that installs solar-powered cisterns and pumps for areas with limited access to water.
