Baltimore-Washington Conference
Trustees pause work on disaffiliation process
WASHINGTON — The 2019 General Conference passed legislation that allows congregations to disaffiliate under limited circumstances and authorizes conferences to set additional requirements. With questions about that legislation still before the denomination’s top court, the Baltimore-Washington Conference trustees announced they have deferred work on developing disaffiliation procedures.
