WORTHINGTON, Ohio (UM News) — United Methodist clergywomen and interfaith leaders have circulated letters urging the West Ohio Conference to reopen the complaint against the Rev. Donald "Bud" Heckman, who was accused of sexual misconduct and abuse. More than 800 people have signed. Heather Hahn reports.

Mission agency settles employment complaint
ATLANTA — The United Methodist Board of Global Ministries will pay $50,000 to settle a retaliation discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of a former employee. "The agreement reached reflects a compromise so that we could avoid the continuing costs of litigation, and does not reflect any admission or finding of wrongdoing," the mission agency said in a statement.
