Global Ministries, Upper Room
Buenos Aires regional office restructured
BUENOS AIRES — An office shared by the United Methodist Board of Global Ministries and The Upper Room for the past three years will be restructured at the end of the three-year pilot. Global Ministries will continue its ministry in the region with a regional office based out of two operational centers in Brazil and Honduras. The Upper Room will continue its work with part-time staff working in the same building as the Argentinean Evangelical Methodist Church offices.

Allen retiring from Strengthening the Black Church
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Rev. Fred A. Allen, the national executive director of the United Methodist Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century, is retiring Dec. 31. The group announced Allen’s planned retirement during the SBC21 annual coordinating committee meeting. The committee will conduct a national search for a new executive director.
