Linda Carder, bishop’s wife, dies 

CHAPIN, S.C. — Linda Faye Miller Carder, the wife of Bishop Kenneth Carder, passed away Oct. 3 after a long battle with frontotemporal dementia. She was 79. Two memorial services are scheduled. The first will be at 3 p.m. EDT Oct. 6 at Salem United Methodist Church in Irmo, South Carolina. The second service is set for 2 p.m. Oct. 8. at First United Methodist Church in Waynesville, North Carolina.
