Groundbreaking for Nigerian church radio
JALINGO, Nigeria (UM News) — Nigeria Area Bishop John Wesley Yohanna helped lay the foundation for Grace Radio, a new United Methodist radio station in Taraba State. "Our mission is to reach thousands for Christ and touch an untold number of lives," he said. The project is an initiative of the church in Nigeria in partnership with United Methodist Communications and the United Methodist Radio Network. The Rev. Ande I. Emmanuel and Micah Terah report.

McMurry University
McMurry gets $3 million STEM grant
ABILENE, Texas — McMurry University, a United Methodist-related school, has been awarded a five-year, $3 million federal grant for expansion of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) degree programs. The grant will also help McMurry support Hispanic students in STEM studies.

CRESTWOOD, Ky. — Kentucky Conference Bishop Leonard Fairley asked for all to remain peaceful as they react to the indictment of a former Louisville officer for wanton endangerment connected to the fatal police shooting of Breonna Taylor. "Just as we are called not to condone injustice, neither can we condone violence in any form," Fairley said.
