Adam Hamilton, pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, will deliver the sermon at the National Prayer Service this morning, Jan. 22, at the National Cathedral. President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are expected to attend the service. Hamilton is pastor of the largest church in the United Methodist denomination. Gina Campbell, a United Methodist elder, is the first worship director at the National Cathedral who is not an Episcopal priest, and she believes that was intentional. Wade decision by joining with the National Pro-Life Religious Council for its 2013 annual worship service. The service is at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 25 at the DAR Constitution Hall, 1776 D. Street NW. |
