Registration begins this morning for delegates and staff, but most of the day will be spent continuing to get ready for the opening of GC2012 tomorrow. The day includes meetings of the Standing Committee on Central Conference Matters, the Committee on Reference, the Committee on Agenda and Calendar, and orientation sessions for non-U.S. delegates, legislative committee recorders, and marshals and pages.
These early times before the meeting officially starts are often fun as it is a great time to catch up with United Methodist folks from across the world. For those of us who have attended General Conferences in the past, it is a good time to renew old friendships with colleagues before the work begins tomorrow.
