“We Need A River” Sunday Celebration

“We Need A River: A Plenary Celebration and Challenge of the Mission of Ministry of The United Methodist Church” was the Sunday evening gathering of the 2012 General Conference.

Programs and agencies highlighted included: 20th Anniversary of Communities of Shalom; 40th Anniversary of the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women; General Commission on Archives and History; the Five Ethnic National Plans; Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century; Four Areas of Focus; Global AIDS Fund; The Advance; General Commission on United Methodist Men; 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts; Africa University; and the General Board of Global Ministries’ Celebration of Commissioned Missionaries.

The song, “We Need A River” connected the presentations during the 3 hour celebration.
