Church brings vital aid to flood victims in Tanzania

The United Methodist Church — with support from UMCOR — came to the aid of hundreds of families affected by devastating floods in Tanzania.

Prison visits help inmates, families

Cecelia Whitfield was devastated when her son went to prison for armed robbery, but she rallied quickly and founded a ministry that has transported family members to visit their incarcerated loved ones for more than 35 years.

Parental leave efforts gaining momentum

Clergy deserve 13 weeks of paid leave when they are caring for a new baby, according to members of a grassroots effort to make that the United Methodist standard.
